Felix Halim Gets 2nd Spot in Best
Student Paper Award
SoC PhD student Felix Halim was the Best Student Paper runner-up at
the 18th ACM Conference on Information and Knowledge Management
(CIKM2009, Hong Kong, 2-6 November 2009). It was for the paper “Fast
and Effective Histogram Construction”, which he co-authored with Dr
Panagiotis Karras and A/P Roland H. C. Yap. The conference is an
important venue for scholarship exchange in computer science.
