Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple Professorship
The School of Computing (SoC) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) invites applications and nominations for the Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple (KITCHT) Professorship in Computing. (This Chair is endowed by a temple for the Bodhisattva of
Compassion or Goddess of Mercy.)
We seek a renowned scholar at the full Professor level. The successful applicant is expected to lead an internationally-recognized research group in SoC. The salary and benefits are internationally competitive. The preferred start date is January, 2009.
NUS (www.nus.edu.sg) is a research university, with low teaching loads, excellent facilities and ample research funding (both within
NUS and through funding agencies). SoC (www.comp.nus.edu.sg) has about 100 faculty members in two departments: Computer
Science and Information Systems. They regularly published in prestigious conferences and journals, as well as serve on their program
committees and editorial boards.

Faculty Positions
Established in conjunction with the School of Computing, the Department of Information Systems aims to be a leading institution in information systems education and research in the international arena and to be a strong institutional and consulting partner with local industries, government bodies, and professional associations. It has more than 20 faculty members who are actively involved in research projects. To support their research efforts, faculty members are given generous research grants and are strongly encouraged to attend top international conferences.
The Department of Information Systems is currently
one of the most active sites for information systems and related
research in the Asia-Pacific region. Its faculty members have

Journal of Economics, and SIAM Journal of Control and Optimization. To keep in pace with latest developments in information
systems research and education, the Department of Information
Systems has (and will continue to) engaged internationally
renowned scholars to serve in various capacities. Applications
are invited for faculty appointments in the Department.
Applicants are expected to have a PhD degree in Information Systems or some other related disciplines and demonstrate the potential to perform high quality research. Applicants with expertise in our
core areas of research are preferred.
